1. About this offer
While serva.digital (a trading name of JDDA Media Limited) builds its local portfolio, a limited number of new clients in Teesside and North Yorkshire can have a single-page website designed and built at no cost. There is no charge for the build itself. Once the site is live, you only pay a monthly hosting and support fee, from £10 a month and agreed upfront. These terms explain how the offer works. They sit alongside the serva.digital general terms and conditions.
2. Who serva.digital is
The offer is made by JDDA Media Limited, trading as serva.digital, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12045526). In these terms, “serva.digital” means JDDA Media Limited, trading as serva.digital, and “you” means the business taking up the offer. serva.digital is a digital agency run by its founder, David, who plans, builds and supports every site personally.

3. Who can apply
- Any kind of business can apply, from sole traders to limited companies, as long as you're a new client of serva.digital. The offer is for businesses only, not consumers.
- Your business needs to be based in the Teesside and North Yorkshire areas. In borderline cases, serva.digital decides.
- There is one free website per business. Businesses with the same owner count as one business.
- There are a limited number of places, so availability can change. Places are offered at serva.digital's discretion, and serva.digital decides whether a business is eligible.
- Free website reviews and consultations are open to everyone, whether or not you take up the offer.
4. What the free website includes
- A single-page site that works on phones, tablets and computers
- Up to five content sections, such as about, services, gallery and contact
- A working contact form that emails enquiries to you
- Set-up so Google and other search engines can find you
- Fast, secure hosting set-up
- Stock photos you're free to use, where needed
- One round of revisions before going live
5. What isn't included
These aren't part of the free build. serva.digital is happy to quote for any of them, and always gives you a clear written quote before any other work starts.
- Ongoing hosting and support (the monthly fee in section 7)
- Domain name registration (you own your domain, and serva.digital will help you set it up)
- Extra pages beyond the single page
- Selling products online, or online ordering
- Bespoke photography or branding
- Substantial copywriting
- Further changes after the round of revisions and launch, other than those covered by hosting and support
6. How it works
- It starts with a free, no-obligation conversation about your business, customers and goals.
- If the offer is a good fit, serva.digital confirms in writing what it will build, the timeline and the monthly hosting and support fee before any work starts. That written agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ.
- You provide your business details, the words you'd like on the page, and any logo or photos of your own. Where needed, serva.digital adds stock photos you're free to use.
- serva.digital builds the site and shares it with you. You get one round of revisions before it goes live.
- A single-page site typically takes one to two weeks from the first conversation to launch, including your feedback and changes.
Places are limited, so if serva.digital doesn't receive your content or feedback within a reasonable time, it may offer your place to another business. serva.digital will always let you know before it does.
7. After launch: hosting and support
- Once the site is live, you pay a monthly hosting and support fee, from £10 a month. The exact amount is agreed upfront, in writing, before any work starts.
- Hosting and support keeps your site running and covers security updates, speed checks and changes when you need them, as set out in your written agreement.
- The fee is paid by card. You can pay monthly or annually, and paying annually works out cheaper than paying monthly.
- The fee can change, but serva.digital will give you notice in writing before any change.
- There is a minimum hosting period of three months from when your site goes live.
8. Your domain name
Your domain name is registered in your name and belongs to you. serva.digital will help you choose and set it up. Domain registration isn't part of the free build, so any registration or renewal costs are paid by you, direct to the registrar.
9. Who owns what: your licence
- serva.digital (JDDA Media Limited) owns the copyright and other intellectual property in the site it builds for you, including its design and code.
- You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the site for as long as your hosting and support fees are paid. If the fees stop, the licence ends.
- Your own content, such as the words, photos and logo you supply, and your domain name remain yours. If you leave, serva.digital will return your content to you.
- Third-party parts, such as fonts, stock images, platforms like Shopify and plugins, are covered by their own licences.
- You can buy your site outright, at go-live or later. serva.digital then transfers the intellectual property to you in writing, for a one-off fee quoted on the site's size and complexity, from £299.
- The “Website by serva.digital” credit in your site's footer stays while the licence runs (see section 11).
10. If you stop hosting with serva.digital
- After the three-month minimum, either you or serva.digital can end hosting and support by giving one month's notice.
- When hosting and support ends, your licence to use the site ends too and the site is taken offline, unless you've bought it outright (see section 9).
- serva.digital will return your content to you, and your domain name stays yours, so you're free to use them on a new site.
11. Showing your site in the serva.digital portfolio
The offer exists to help serva.digital build a local portfolio. A small “Website by serva.digital” credit in your site's footer is a condition of the offer and stays while the licence runs. serva.digital may also show your finished site in its portfolio as an example of its work.
12. Changes to the offer
- serva.digital may change or withdraw the offer at any time. Projects already agreed in writing will not be affected.
- The offer has no cash value, there is no cash or other alternative, and it can't be transferred to another business or exchanged for other services.
- serva.digital may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
13. Other terms and the law
The serva.digital general terms and conditions and privacy policy also apply. Where your written agreement says something different, the written agreement takes priority. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
