My work: websites, apps and tools I've built

Real work for real businesses.

Everything on this page is my own work, from the first chat to the finished result. There's no junior team and no hand-off.

Most of my clients are small local businesses: a village pub, a Thai restaurant, a cleaning company. Some came to me stuck on a platform they'd outgrown. I've moved businesses off WordPress, Wix, Adobe and Shopify onto fast, simple websites they can keep up to date themselves. Others needed something a website alone couldn't do, like an app for the staff behind the bar or a training tool for a busy kitchen.

Each case study explains, in plain English, what the problem was, what I built and how it's going.

Case studies

  • Pub website and staff app

    The White Swan

A new website for a village pub, plus a phone app the staff use to keep the beer boards and live music up to date.

  • Local service website

    The Oven Queen

A fast, phone-first website for a local oven and carpet cleaner, now first when people search locally for oven cleaning.

  • Drinks board app for a hospitality client

    Barrel

A live drinks board app I built for a client in hospitality: one QR code, no app to download, and it keeps working when the signal drops.

  • Pub game for the same client

    Barrel Run

An arcade game I built for the same client as Barrel, so pub-goers have something fun to play on their phones, straight from the drinks board.

  • Restaurant website

    Thai Restaurant

A local Thai restaurant's website, with all four menus online and an admin panel the owner uses to change dishes and prices.

  • Website check

    Website rules check

A plain-English check of a website against the UK rules on privacy, cookies, accessibility, consumer law and company details, with my own site as the example.

More work, kept confidential

Some of the people I work with would rather not be named, and I'm always happy to respect that. These stories leave out the names but keep what matters: how I worked, what I delivered and how it turned out.
