Who the offer is for
- Any kind of business, from sole traders to limited companies, as long as you're a new client. The offer is for businesses only, not consumers.
- Your business is based in the Teesside and North Yorkshire areas. In borderline cases, serva.digital decides.
- One free website per business. Businesses with the same owner count as one business.
- Places are limited, so availability can change. Places are offered at serva.digital's discretion.
How it works
- It starts with a free, no-obligation conversation about your business, your customers and your goals.
- If the offer is a good fit, serva.digital confirms in writing what it will build, the timeline and the monthly hosting and support fee, before any work starts.
- You send serva.digital your business details, the words you'd like on the page, and any logo or photos of your own. Where needed, serva.digital adds stock photos you're free to use.
- serva.digital builds the site and shares it with you. You get one round of revisions before it goes live.
- Once it's live, you pay the monthly hosting and support fee, which keeps your site running.
A single-page site typically takes one to two weeks from the first conversation to launch, including your feedback and changes.
Questions about the offer
How much is hosting and support after launch?
From £10 a month. The exact amount is agreed upfront, in writing, before any work starts. You pay by card, monthly or annually, and paying annually works out cheaper. There's a three-month minimum from when your site goes live. After that, either you or serva.digital can end it with one month's notice.
What does hosting and support cover?
It keeps your site running and covers security updates, speed checks and changes when you need them, as set out in your written agreement.
Who owns the website?
serva.digital owns the copyright in the design and code, and you get a licence to use the site for as long as your hosting and support fees are paid. Your own words, photos and logo, and your domain name, stay yours. If you'd like to own the site outright, you can buy it at go-live or later. Handovers are quoted on the site's size and complexity, from £299.
Do you need a domain name?
Your domain name is registered in your name and belongs to you, and serva.digital will help you choose and set it up. Registration isn't part of the free build, so any registration or renewal costs are paid by you, direct to the registrar.
How long does it take?
A single-page site typically takes one to two weeks from the first conversation to launch, including your feedback and changes. Places are limited, so if your content or feedback doesn't arrive within a reasonable time, serva.digital may offer your place to another business. serva.digital will always let you know before it does.
What happens if you stop hosting with serva.digital?
When hosting and support ends, your licence to use the site ends too and the site is taken offline, unless you've bought it outright. serva.digital will return your content to you, and your domain name stays yours, so you're free to use them on a new site.
Can you get a free website review without taking up the offer?
Yes. Free website reviews and consultations are open to everyone, whether or not you take up the offer.
Can the offer change?
serva.digital may change or withdraw the offer at any time, but projects already agreed in writing won't be affected. The offer has no cash value and can't be transferred to another business or exchanged for other services.
