Shopify online stores
Shopify stores: online shops you can run yourself
Selling online, whether it's five products or five thousand? I plan and build Shopify stores with lessons learned over 20 years in e-commerce, much of it inside and alongside major UK retailers. Then I train you to run products, prices and orders yourself, so the shop stays in your hands.

What you get
Every store is planned around what you sell and how your customers buy. To keep costs down, I usually start from a Shopify theme and shape it around your products, or I can design a bespoke theme for you.
- Works on phones, tablets and computers, and I test it on real devices before launch
- Products, prices, delivery and payments set up and checked before you open the doors
- Coming-soon and launch shops, with an early access list and a checkout that opens on launch day
- Help taking over an existing store, or moving it and its code into your own business's name
- Set up so Google and AI assistants understand what you sell
- Training at launch, so you can add products, change prices and manage orders yourself
Shopify stores aren't part of the free first website offer, so each one is quoted separately. A typical store takes three to six weeks. Support after launch is separate from website care and is quoted to suit the Shopify plan you choose.
Who it's for
- Businesses ready to start selling online, from a handful of products to thousands
- Shops whose online store has become slow, messy or hard to manage
- New brands getting ready to launch, who want a shop that builds excitement before opening day
- Businesses whose store, or its code, sits in someone else's account, and who want to own it themselves
- Anyone from sole traders to limited companies. I work with businesses only, and I'm happy to meet if you're nearby, or to work remotely with businesses anywhere in the UK.
Mainly need people to find you and get in touch? A standard website is usually enough, and I'll help you decide.
How it works
You always know what's happening, what's next and what it costs.
- Talk it through. A free, no-obligation conversation over coffee or a call about your business, customers and goals.
- A clear plan. You get a clear timeline and a written quote before any work starts.
- Design and build. I build the store and show you how it's coming along as I go, in plain English. Products, payments and delivery are tested before anything goes live.
- Launch. Your shop opens fast and secure, with training so you're confident running it from day one.
- Keep improving. Changes and advice when you need them, with a quote before any bigger job.

Questions about Shopify stores
Do I need a Shopify store or a standard website?
If you sell products online, Shopify is usually the right choice: it's reliable, easy to run day to day and copes as your range grows. If you mainly need people to find you, understand what you offer and get in touch, a standard website is enough. I'll help you decide.
Can I run the store myself?
Yes, that's the idea. I train you to add products, change prices and manage orders, so the day-to-day running stays with you. For bigger changes, such as new features or a redesign, you'll get a quote before any work starts.
How long does a Shopify store take?
Usually three to six weeks, depending on how many products you have and what the shop needs to do. You get a clear timeline before any work starts.
How much does a Shopify store cost?
Every store gets a written quote before anything starts, based on what it needs to do. I work on my own, without agency overheads, which helps keep the price down.
What about support after launch?
Shopify support is separate from my website care plan. What you need depends on the Shopify plan you choose, so I'll quote support to suit it.
Can you take over a store someone else built?
Yes. I've moved a Shopify store and its code from a delivery partner into the hands of the brand that owns it, step by step, with the delivery partner keeping the access it needed. I start by finding out who owns what, then plan the move so nothing breaks.
Do you work with individuals?
No, I work with businesses only, from sole traders to limited companies.
