ServaAuditBot
ServaAuditBot runs the free website check from serva.digital. It only visits a website when someone asks for that site to be checked.
What it does, and what it never does
- It reads a handful of public pages, such as the homepage, privacy, terms and contact pages, robots.txt and the sitemap, one visit each.
- It loads the homepage once in a real browser, from the UK, to see what runs before anyone agrees to cookies. It never clicks "Accept".
- It never logs in, never submits forms, never places orders and never tests a site for security weaknesses.
- Results for the same site are reused for 24 hours, so repeated requests don't mean repeated visits.
- It identifies itself as ServaAuditBot in its user agent, with a link to this page.
How to opt out
ServaAuditBot respects robots.txt. To stop it reading your site, add these two lines to your robots.txt file:
- User-agent: ServaAuditBot
- Disallow: /
