Website reviews
Check your website free: a quick check in a minute, and an expert audit when you want the full picture
Run the free website check and see how your site measures up against the UK rules and good practice: privacy and cookies, being found on Google and AI assistants, ease of use and trust. It reads your public pages only and takes about a minute.

Three ways to check your site
Start free. Go further only if you want to.
- Free website check
- Free, about a minute
- Full website report
- £29
- Expert audit with a walkthrough call
- £149 to £199, depending on the size of the site
- Free website check: a quick check score out of 100, how many issues were found and how serious they are, any critical issues in full and two sample findings.
- Full website report: every finding from the check, with what was seen, why it matters, how to fix it, roughly how big a job it is and who usually does it. Online and as a PDF, straight after payment.
- Expert audit: I go through your site myself, including the things an automated check can't judge, then walk you through what I found on a call and send a written summary in priority order.
No VAT is charged. The full report and the expert audit are for businesses only. If you buy the full report and then, within 90 days, ask me to fix what it finds or book the expert audit, the £29 is credited against the price. See the full report terms.
What the free check looks at
Around 90 automated checks in four areas. No baffling reports: if something matters, it says why.
- UK rules: privacy policy, cookies and consent, prices and terms, company details and accessibility basics
- Being found: whether Google and AI assistants can read your site and understand what you do
- Experience: speed, mobile, a clear next step and an easy way to get in touch
- Trust and security: security settings, trackers, reviews and who's behind the business, plus email security
Some things need a human eye, such as whether your offer and terms are fair or how good your content is. The free check caps those areas at 80, so its score is a quick check, not a full audit.
The expert audit: the full UK rules check, with a walkthrough
The rules don't sit in one place. A website can look lovely and still fall short on several of them, and the owner is usually the last to know.
- Privacy and data protection, including the newer duty to let people complain to you directly about how their data is handled
- Cookies, and whether any cookie banner is honest
- Accessibility, measured against the recognised standard for accessible websites
- Consumer and business law: clear prices and terms, no surprise extras, and reviews that are genuine and presented fairly
- What's working, what's costing you customers, and whether to improve the site you have or replace it
£149 to £199, depending on the size of the site, agreed before I start. If you've bought the full report in the last 90 days, the £29 comes off the price. I keep a dated summary of the current UK rules and refresh it at least every 30 days. I'm not a solicitor, and if something needs proper legal advice I'll say so. See how it works on my own site in the website rules check case study.
How it works
- Run the free check. Enter your website address. In about a minute you'll see your quick check score and what needs attention.
- Get the full report if you want it. £29 unlocks every finding with how to fix it, as a page you can share with whoever looks after your site, and a PDF.
- Or ask for the expert audit. Send me your website address on the contact form and choose “A website review or audit”. I reply to every enquiry within 24 hours.
- You decide what happens next. Make the changes yourself, pass them to your developer, or ask me to. I'll quote a fixed price first, and once fixes are made I check again.

Questions about website checks and audits
Is the website check really free?
Yes. The quick check is free and takes about a minute. It gives you a quick check score, how many issues it found and any critical issues in full. If you want every finding with how to fix it, the full report is £29. No VAT is charged.
What's the difference between the full report and the expert audit?
The full report is automated: every finding from the check, with what was seen, why it matters and how to fix it. The expert audit is me going through your site by hand, including the things a machine can't judge, such as whether your prices and terms are clear and fair, how good your content is and how the enquiry journey feels. You get a walkthrough call and a written summary. It costs £149 to £199, depending on the size of the site.
Does my website follow the rules on privacy, cookies and accessibility?
The free check looks for the most common gaps: a missing or incomplete privacy policy, trackers that run before anyone agrees to cookies, missing company details and basic accessibility problems. The expert audit goes further and checks your site against the rules in depth.
Is this legal advice?
No. I'm not a solicitor, and if something needs proper legal advice I'll say so. What you get is a plain-English view of where your website stands and what to fix.
What does the check do to my website?
It reads a handful of public pages, once each, like a visitor would. It never logs in, never submits forms and never tests for weaknesses. You can read more about the checking bot on its own page.
How quickly will I hear back about an expert audit?
I reply to every enquiry within 24 hours.
More answers about costs, timescales and how I work are on the FAQ page.
